What Brought Me Here
I spent many years disembodied, overworking, and disconnected from my emotions as a survival strategy. It kept me safe. And then it started to get in the way of how I wanted to live and connect, and I could feel it holding me back, even though on the surface it looked like I was achieving a lot.
The trauma work I was doing started to find traction when I discovered body-based approaches that actually worked with my nervous system. Learning to thaw out, feel my feelings, say no, express my needs and allow myself to be held was excruciating. Sometimes it still is.
Through this journey I found myself wanting to support others who were stuck just like I was. Now, I support women and queer people to shift long-standing patterns of stress, anxiety and overwork using compassionate, body-based approaches, the same approaches that finally made a difference in my life. I hold so much compassion for those who had to learn how to protect themselves and now want something different.
What I love most about this work is seeing hope return as clients develop the capacity to feel more, learn how to work with their body and nervous system states, and start showing up in their lives in ways they never thought possible. I’m committed to supporting people in discovering the softer parts of themselves, their joy, their sensory pleasures, and the nourishment they can learn to give themselves and receive from others.
